Description
The VPF-750 Visibility and Present Weather Sensor is the top-of-range VPF model for major airports, AWOS systems and national meteorological networks. It combines wide-range visibility measurement with integrated precipitation and temperature/humidity sensing to provide a detailed description of current and recent weather from one instrument.
Forward-scatter optics measure MOR and EXCO from 10 m to 99.99 km, while a backscatter receiver improves precipitation classification. When used with its heated precipitation sensor and temperature input, the VPF-750 can also report freezing precipitation types.
