Description
The SWS-250 Visibility and Present Weather Sensor is the most capable model in the SWS range, combining forward-scatter visibility measurement with a dedicated backscatter channel for enhanced precipitation classification.
It measures MOR and EXCO over a default 10 m to 75 km range, with the maximum configurable to approximately 99 km. The sensor supports both WMO Table 4680 and METAR present and past weather reporting, making it well suited to aviation, AWOS/RVR, national weather networks and transport applications.
