Description
The BTD-350 Thunderstorm Detector is the marine and offshore version of Senseca's long-range thunderstorm detection platform. It detects cloud-to-ground, cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-air and intra-cloud lightning up to 83 km while also monitoring electric-field changes and charged precipitation for earlier warning.
The sensor is designed for vessels, offshore platforms and helidecks, with marine-qualified construction for salt spray, vibration and EMC environments. RS422 or Ethernet communications are available, with optional relay outputs for local warning systems.
