Description
The BTD-1 is a thunderstorm warning system for outdoor lightning risk. It detects cloud-to-ground, intra-cloud and cloud-to-cloud lightning, as well as charged precipitation and strong electric-field conditions, allowing sites to receive early warning before a nearby strike.
The standard detection range is 35 km, with an option to extend to 83 km. It provides RS422 communications, three internal relays and a rugged IP66 housing for permanent outdoor installation.
